The Color of Love

Today the United States Supreme Court began hearings on Prop 8 and DOMA. The next two days will determine if this is really a country built on equality. With the alarming divorce rate it is disgusting when marriage equality is used to defile the sanctity of marriage. The fight for marriage equality isn't one of religion, it is purely one of civil rights. Marriage equality will not take away anyone's religious rights - they can still marry people of the opposite sex, no one will force them to marry someone of the same sex. And further more my same sex marriage will have absolutely no impact on anyone else's marriage. I am hoping for some positive changes from the Supreme Court so that my 23 year relationship will be recognized by my country. You can follow along as the Supreme Court hears testimony at Equality on Trial. Today the Human Rights Campaign posted a red logo (the color of love) on their facebook page and since that posting it has gone viral and since I don't do facebook I am posting it here.
